Castle Vaseheartelt...my home while studying in Europe; Maastricht, Netherlands; August 30, 2000.

These are photos of Castle Vaseheartelt, my home in Maastricht, Netherlands, while studying abroad in Europe. The castle was converted into a nice hotel. We stayed in the main hotel for a month, then moved into the gatehouse at the entrance of the castle.
Kasteel Vaseheartelt
Vaeshartelt is a 17th-century castle, that is located in Maastricht. It is set in seven hectares of magnificent parkland graced by quiet ponds and ancient trees. Its elegant drive is lined with lime trees. King William II of the Netherlands was once the proud owner of this estate and endowed castle with royal glamour.Veashartelt castle is known today for its unique style, which combines historical elements and modern architecture. It is pleasingly different, striking and full of character.
